— Seascape is bracing for a fire in the lobby of its Annandales Hotel as flames break out on its rooftop.
Seascapes CEO Bob Smith told reporters Wednesday that the building is on lockdown.
Smith said a roof-top fire is still under investigation and there are no confirmed injuries.
The fire has since been extinguished.
The hotel has an outdoor courtyard.
The building was built in 1950.
It is a century old and has been the home of the hotel since the 1960s.
The owner, Howard Kowalski, died in April at the age of 83.
The hotel’s building is located on the city’s western edge.
The city is currently demolishing the buildings in a plan to make way for a residential community.
